‘Who Gets To Live In Paradise’ is a video poem exploring ideas around belonging, empire and conservation. The word community invokes a kind of utopia where everyone gets along, but a living community involves strife alongside harmony. It explores where class situates you in modern Wales, questions our attachment to the land, and who gets to inhabit it. A 7 channel soundscape comprised of field recordings from the site Tywyn Llyn, spoken word, layered beats and synth sounds is melded together with the video footage also recorded at the site.
